Terms of Use

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use signed-in features. Mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country prevail over conflicting provisions in these Terms.

General individual accounts are available only to people aged 14 or older. If you are at least 14 but below the age of legal majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. We do not currently offer accounts for children under 14 or school-managed child accounts.

Although Paralleloi has historical and educational purposes, content may address war, violence, discrimination, persecution, disasters, and historical trauma. Not every item is suitable for every age. Guardians should supervise minors’ use and viewing choices.

Paralleloi lets users create, edit, compare, and publish historical events and materials as timelines and stories. Some features require sign-in, a paid plan, or credits. You must keep account information accurate and protect your sign-in method.

You retain rights in content you create or upload. You grant the Operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transform, translate, display, and publish that content as needed to operate the service. This license lasts while the content remains on the service.

Published views and shared event groups may remain after account deletion with author attribution removed, to preserve historical context and other users’ work. Do not upload material you lack the right to publish, personal data without a lawful basis, or content that infringes another person’s rights.

AI features may generate drafts, translations, images, or editing suggestions and may consume credits. Outputs can be inaccurate, biased, or historically misleading. You must review facts, rights, and suitability before publishing. AI output is not professional, legal, or academic advice.

• Violating law, privacy, or third-party rights
• Posting unlawful threats, harassment, incitement to hatred, or promotion of violence
• Deceptively impersonating or manipulating historical material to cause real-world harm
• Circumventing or disrupting the service, accounts, security controls, or usage limits
• Unauthorized bulk scraping, malware distribution, or resale of the service

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Polar Software, Inc. Polar is the Merchant of Record and legal seller for all paid orders and handles payments, taxes, payment-related customer service, and refunds. Purchases are subject to the Polar Buyer Terms and the terms shown at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout. If canceled before renewal, access continues through the current billing period. Rules for one-time top-up credits and monthly credits, including use, rollover, and expiry, are shown in the offer and pricing page.

You may delete your account or cancel a subscription through account settings. The Operator may restrict an account, with notice where practicable, for Terms violations, security risks, legal obligations, or service protection. Urgent restrictions may occur before notice. The Privacy Policy explains what may remain after deletion.

Paralleloi trademarks, logos, design, software, and Operator-created materials belong to the Operator or its licensors. We do not claim exclusive rights in historical facts or public-domain material itself.

The service is provided on a reasonable-availability basis; we do not promise uninterrupted operation or the accuracy of every historical statement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential loss. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury where applicable.

We may update these Terms to reflect service or legal changes. Material changes will be announced before taking effect through the service, account email, or another reasonable method. We will obtain consent where the law requires it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without excluding mandatory consumer protections or jurisdiction rights that apply to you.
